David Howden is assistant professor of economics at St. Louis University at its campus in Madrid, Spain. His research interests include the Austrian theory of the business cycle and its implications for banking policy. His most recent book is Institutions in crisis: European perspectives on the recession (editor, 2011, Edward Elgar).
